“Your Speeches Are Full of Lies, Analyse Them Yourself”: Tejashwi Yadav Targets PM Modi Ahead of Saran Visit

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his scheduled visit to Saran, Bihar on Friday. The former Deputy Chief Minister accused PM Modi of delivering over 200 rallies in Bihar filled with “lies and misleading claims.”

In a sharp post on X, Tejashwi challenged the Prime Minister to review his own speeches, saying, “If you analyse your speeches honestly, you will be so embarrassed you won’t be able to speak again.”

Targeting the NDA’s two-decade rule in Bihar and 11 years of Modi’s tenure at the Centre, Tejashwi raised questions over the state’s developmental track record. He asked whether the Prime Minister would address Bihar’s poor rankings in poverty, unemployment, per capita income, investment, literacy, and industrialisation—as cited in official reports from NITI Aayog and the Government of India.

He also mocked Modi’s visit, asking if he would inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects that have remained pending since 2015. Tejashwi further alleged that over 65,000 innocent people have died during NDA’s 20-year rule in the state.

Referring sarcastically to the BJP-led NDA alliance, he said, “Will the PM felicitate the members of the ‘National Daamad Aayog’ during his visit?”—a jibe at the BJP’s political alliances and appointments.

Tejashwi didn’t spare Bihar CM Nitish Kumar either, wondering if Modi would comment on the “unconscious” state of Nitish in the same way he once targeted Odisha’s CM Naveen Patnaik.

Accusing the state government of coercing employees to mobilise crowds for BJP rallies, the RJD leader said the administration is forcing government workers to bring people to Modi’s events at their own expense.

He also questioned the Prime Minister on why Indian troops were halted during “Operation Sindoor,” suggesting that US pressure led to the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan despite military readiness.

PM Modi, meanwhile, is on a two-day tour of Bihar, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh. In Bihar’s Siwan today, he is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several key infrastructure and development projects. The visit comes months ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.
