President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, praising his leadership for fostering a culture of setting and achieving ambitious goals in the nation.

“Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes to the Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodi ji. By exemplifying the pinnacle of hard work through your extraordinary leadership, you have instilled a culture of achieving great goals in the country,” President Murmu posted on X.

Extending his wishes, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said PM Modi’s tenure has transformed infrastructure and human resource development. “Such progress has never happened before. His leadership will continue to take the country forward,” Sawant said.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal lauded PM Modi’s reforms, noting that development has reached every citizen under his leadership. “By implementing GST reforms, he has made life easier for every citizen. The Prime Minister has taken the country to new heights of development,” Goyal said.

To mark the milestone, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a 15-day nationwide campaign, Seva Pakhwada, running from September 17 to October 2. The programme includes blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and exhibitions highlighting the central government’s achievements. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav said the campaign will conclude on Gandhi Jayanti.

Adding to the celebrations, the National Award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy “Bas wahi jeete hain, jo doosro ke liye jeete hain” (Only those are truly successful who live for others), is set for a special re-release across India from September 17.

On the international front, US President Donald Trump personally called PM Modi to convey his wishes. In a post on Truth Social, he described the Indian leader as a “tremendous” statesman and thanked him for his support in efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job,” Trump wrote.
