Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday praised the Seva Pakhwada initiative during a public meeting in Bhavnagar, highlighting the massive participation of citizens and extending his gratitude for birthday greetings from across the globe.

PM Modi noted that in just three days of Seva Pakhwada, over one lakh people donated blood and 30,000 health camps were conducted across Gujarat. He said, “From Vishwakarma Jayanti to Gandhi Jayanti, people across the nation are celebrating Seva Pakhwada. Several programmes were held in the last three days, including cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, and health initiatives. Women’s health has been at the centre of these efforts.”

Expressing thanks for birthday wishes received on September 17, PM Modi added, “It is not possible to thank everyone individually for the greetings I received from across India and around the world. These wishes are my strength, and I publicly express my gratitude today.”

The BJP’s 15-day nationwide Seva Pakhwada campaign, launched to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday, includes blood donation drives, cleanliness initiatives, and exhibitions showcasing the central government’s achievements.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 34,200 crore at the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ event in Bhavnagar. He emphasized, “This programme is taking place in Bhavnagar, but it belongs to all of India. Today, Bhavnagar has been chosen as the centre for this important initiative, reflecting our nation’s vision of moving towards prosperity through the seas.”

During the public rally, PM Modi also requested officials to collect paintings prepared by children, brought as gifts for him.
