Over 100 terrorists have been eliminated in the ongoing Operation Sindoor, according to security sources, as Indian Armed Forces continue to carry out precision strikes against terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The offensive, launched in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, has so far destroyed nine key anti-India terror sites.
Sources revealed that while the operation is still underway, early estimates suggest over a hundred terrorists affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen have been neutralised. Four of the targeted camps were located inside Pakistan, while five were in PoJK.
Among the high-value targets hit in Pakistan were:
- Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, the main JeM operational headquarters and training center, linked to the 2019 Pulwama attack and housing top JeM leaders including Maulana Masood Azhar and Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar.
- Markaz Taiba in Muridke, the LeT’s premier training facility associated with the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, previously attended by terrorists Ajmal Kasab, David Headley, and Tahawwur Rana.
- Sarjal launchpad, a central JeM site for infiltration into India.
- Mehmoona Joya facility in Sialkot, where Pakistan’s ISI was reportedly setting up terror infrastructure within government premises.
In PoJK, the following five sites were struck:
- Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala (Bhimber)
- Markaz Abbas and Maskar Raheel Shahid (Kotli)
- Shawai Nallah Camp
- Markaz Syedna Bilal (Muzaffarabad)
These facilities served as staging grounds for indoctrination, training, and cross-border infiltration of militants. The strikes, carried out with high-precision weaponry during the early hours of Wednesday, aimed to minimize collateral damage and avoid civilian casualties.
