Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, will visit flood-affected areas across the state to assess the damage and extend support to farmers.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Shinde said the CM will visit Solapur, while he himself will head to Dharashiv in Marathwada. Ajit Pawar will also tour affected regions. “Farmers in Maharashtra are facing a huge crisis. Our Chief Minister, Deputy CMs, and ministers will personally assess the ground situation,” Shinde stated.
He assured that the state government is committed to providing immediate relief. “The government is standing with farmers with full strength. The Mahayuti government has always supported farmers in times of crisis and will continue to do so,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Shinde noted that ministers and officials are in constant touch with district authorities and NDRF teams to manage the situation. He stressed that efforts would be made to compensate farmers’ losses before Diwali.
According to government sources, Maharashtra has already announced a ₹1,339 crore assistance package for farmers whose crops were damaged between June and August 2025. Compensation for the latest crop losses in Marathwada will be processed once panchnamas are completed. Funds will be directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts.
