A multi-party parliamentary delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi departed from New Delhi on a five-nation outreach mission to Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain, as part of India’s ongoing Operation Sindoor global campaign to counter cross-border terrorism and misinformation.

The visit aims to consolidate international support and present India’s unified and unequivocal stance against terrorism in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.

“Our objective is to explain what has happened here and make the world understand the truth. There are vested interests creating different narratives. The truth must be told,” Kanimozhi said ahead of departure.

Emphasizing the bipartisan nature of the initiative, she stated, “When it comes to the security and sovereignty of this country, we all stand united. India has spoken openly and consistently about how we were attacked, how we responded, and what our goals are.”

The delegation, comprising MPs from major parties including AAP, RJD, and Samajwadi Party, will engage with leaders, officials, and civil society in the five European nations to highlight India’s position and counter Pakistan’s alleged false propaganda.

AAP MP Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal said, “India fights for its own security and justice. We are confident the world community will support our stand.”

RJD MP Prem Chand Gupta added, “The mission is to expose Pakistan’s misinformation campaign on the global stage.”

SP MP Rajeev Rai stressed the importance of international accountability, stating, “Pakistan must be isolated. It’s wrong to have double standards—terrorism must be condemned whether it happens in India or elsewhere.”

Accompanying the MPs, former diplomat Manjeev Singh Puri emphasized the strategic goal of the mission: “This is a national effort to keep global attention on terrorism and its source in our neighborhood.”

India’s Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam attack, included precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK). The global outreach effort aims to build diplomatic momentum and rally international consensus against state-sponsored terrorism.

Through this tour, India intends to reaffirm its zero-tolerance policy on terrorism and highlight the urgent need for global unity against the threat.
