Union Minister JP Nadda, during a visit to the iconic Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir in Pune on Saturday, offered prayers for national strength and unity in the wake of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.
Expressing grief over the incident, Nadda said he prayed to Lord Ganesha to bless Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the strength and wisdom needed to lead the country through this crisis and deliver a “befitting reply” to the perpetrators.
“The whole country is deeply pained by the Pahalgam attack. I came to seek blessings from Ganpati Bappa so that India can rise with strength and resolve. Under the leadership of PM Modi, the country will give a strong response,” Nadda said.
Meanwhile, in Jammu and Kashmir, the crackdown on terror continues. Authorities demolished houses linked to suspected terrorists involved in the Pahalgam assault, including those of Zakir Ahmad Ganie in Kulgam and a suspect in Shopian. These demolitions follow similar actions against Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Adil Guree, now a most-wanted figure.
The Indian Army also responded to unprovoked firing from Pakistan across the Line of Control on the night of April 25–26, retaliating strongly without any reported casualties.
Nationwide outrage and protests have intensified as security forces remain on high alert, vowing justice for the victims of the April 22 attack at Baisaran meadow, Pahalgam.
