The construction of the grand Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya reaches another spiritual milestone today as the idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman are set to be installed on the temple’s first floor. The announcement was made by Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Construction Committee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.

The idols, which have been transported from Jaipur, mark a significant phase in the temple’s development as preparations intensify for upcoming religious events.

“The idols of Lord Ram, his brother Lakshman, Sitaji, and Hanumanji have left from Jaipur and will be taken to the temple’s first floor today,” said Mishra.

Devotional celebrations are scheduled to begin on June 3 and will conclude on June 5, coinciding with the anticipated completion of the main temple structure.

Mishra noted that waterproofing and repellency work would continue as needed, but the core construction of the main temple would be finished by early June.

“By September-October, the remaining work within the temple complex will also be complete. Major components like the Parakota, Peshavatar Temple, and Sapt Mandir are nearing completion, while the Pushkarni water reservoir has already been built,” he added.

All construction projects, initiated in 2020, are expected to be fully completed by the end of 2025.

The Ram Temple is being built in the traditional Nagara style, extending 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and reaching a height of 161 feet. It is supported by 392 intricately carved pillars and 44 ornate doors.

The ground floor sanctum houses the idol of Shri Ram Lalla in his childhood form, already attracting lakhs of devotees since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony earlier this year.

Since the consecration of Ram Lalla, devotional tourism in Ayodhya has surged, with Hanumangarhi Temple also witnessing a rapid rise in daily visitors. Pilgrims continue to arrive in large numbers to witness the progress of the temple that is emerging as a symbol of cultural and spiritual heritage for millions.
