Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday levelled serious allegations against the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that US President Donald Trump holds some “secret” about the Indian Prime Minister, due to which India has allegedly become a “colony of the United States.”
Kejriwal said that if such a situation exists, the Prime Minister should resign to save the country.
He said Trump has been repeatedly claiming that he holds a “secret” about the Indian Prime Minister, and if this is true, the Prime Minister should not worry about his position but instead step down in the interest of the nation.
“If Trump has a secret about PM Modi, then our Prime Minister should resign to save the country,” Kejriwal said.
Kejriwal also claimed that the entire country was suffering due to an LPG shortage and alleged that the situation arose because PM Modi unnecessarily took a stand against Iran in favour of the United States and Israel.
“Iran has said that it will not allow the passage of gas and oil through the Strait of Hormuz. However, it will allow only China and Russia as they are its friends and remain neutral. On the other hand, our PM Modi visited Israel a day before the war started and made Iran our enemy. Now Iran is not allowing any shipments of gas and oil to reach India,” Kejriwal said.
According to Kejriwal, there was no need for India to stand against Iran, which he alleged was done under pressure from the United States.
He further alleged that this has resulted in an LPG shortage across the country.
“We have become a colony of the US. Trump asked us to reduce tariffs on exports, and PM Modi did the same. On the other hand, we are importing goods from the US at 18 per cent tariff, which is costing us. Trump asked Modi not to buy oil from Russia, and Modi agreed, due to which we suffered a loss of Rs 8 lakh crore,” Kejriwal claimed.
