Several schools in the national capital were evacuated on Monday morning after receiving bomb threat emails, Delhi Police officials confirmed.

The threats were reported at Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and ShreeRam World School in Sector 10, Dwarka. Authorities swiftly evacuated students and staff before deploying police teams and bomb disposal squads to carry out detailed searches.

Although two previous school bomb threats in Delhi turned out to be hoaxes, security agencies said they are treating the latest incident with full seriousness and are following all necessary safety protocols.

Last month, multiple institutions — including Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, Sovereign School in Rohini, Modern International School in Dwarka, and Heritage School in Rohini — had also received similar threats via email. In each case, bomb squads thoroughly inspected the premises and confirmed that the alerts were false.

Richmond Global School Principal Moupali Mitra recounted how quickly officials responded to the earlier threat. “We received the email at 10:52 AM and informed the Commissioner of Police within minutes. The bomb squad, cyber team, and other officials checked every corner of the school and declared it safe,” she told ANI, stressing that schools are remaining vigilant against such disruptive hoaxes.

The July scare had also extended to higher education institutions, with IP College for Women, Hindu College, and Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) among Delhi University colleges that received similar email threats.

Police said further details on Monday’s incident will be released once search operations are complete.
