Inam-ul-Haq, who co-starred with late tennis player Radhika Yadav in a music video, has denied any connection to her recent murder, stating that he had no contact with her after the project and dismissing social media rumours suggesting otherwise.

In a statement to ANI, Haq clarified that he first met Radhika during the Tennis Premier League in Delhi and later collaborated with her on a music video. “She was just an actor to me. We worked together for a music shoot, and after that, we had no further contact. She came for the shoot, left, and that was it,” he said, noting the production was unpaid and they had simply offered her a goodwill amount.

Haq strongly refuted allegations of any personal relationship with Radhika, calling such rumours “completely untrue.” He also expressed concern over what he called “unnecessary attempts to give the incident a Hindu-Muslim angle,” and added that Radhika’s limited digital presence was being misrepresented based on a single YouTube video.

He recalled that Radhika attended the shoot with her mother and had mentioned that her father liked the song. “She told us she wanted to work in the film industry. She also said her father approved the project,” Haq said.

The co-actor added that while he was briefly in touch during the video’s release phase, they never met again, and she frequently deactivated and reactivated her Instagram account. He also stated that although he hasn’t been contacted by police, he is willing to cooperate fully if approached.

“I haven’t received any call from investigators yet, but if I do, I’ll definitely cooperate. I had no involvement in this case whatsoever,” he said.

The tragic case involves 25-year-old Radhika Yadav, who was allegedly shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, over disagreements regarding her tennis academy in Gurugram’s Sector 57.

Dr. Deepak Mathur, who conducted the postmortem, confirmed that four bullets were recovered from her body. Her father, who reportedly disapproved of her running the academy despite their affluent background, has been arrested and placed in police custody for further interrogation.

Police are currently examining digital evidence, including the music video and related online content, as part of their investigation.
