US President Donald Trump claimed that the recent military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities caused “monumental damage,” describing the outcome as a direct hit or “bullseye” and saying the term “obliteration” was entirely appropriate. His remarks followed the launch of Operation Midnight Hammer, which targeted key Iranian nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images. Obliteration is an accurate term! The white structure shown is deeply embedded into the rock… The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!”

Trump also hailed the performance of the US military, particularly the B-2 bomber pilots, stating they showed “great skill” and confirming their safe return to base in Missouri.

In another post, Trump hinted again at regime change in Iran, questioning the current leadership’s ability to revive the nation.

“It’s not politically correct to use the term ‘Regime Change,’ but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!”

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, in a media briefing alongside Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine, confirmed that the precision strikes had successfully targeted and damaged Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

“Last night, on President Trump’s order, the US Central Command conducted a precision strike… It was an incredible and overwhelming success.”

He emphasized that the strikes did not target Iranian troops or civilians, but aimed solely at undermining Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

“This operation was not—and has not been—about regime change,” Hegseth added. “It was about delivering a clear setback to Iran’s nuclear ambitions.”

The strikes have triggered a wave of diplomatic and geopolitical responses globally, with the UN Security Council holding an emergency session and tensions in the Middle East reaching a new high.
