Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, describing him as a “symbol of sacrifice and dedication” and an inspiration for millions of Indians.
In a post on X, Shah wrote, “Symbol of sacrifice and dedication, inspiration for crores of countrymen, heartfelt birthday wishes to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji on his 75th birthday. Modi ji, who has been working tirelessly, without stopping or tiring, for the welfare of the people for more than five decades, is a living inspiration of ‘Nation First’ for every citizen.”
President Droupadi Murmu also greeted the Prime Minister, saying he has instilled a “culture of achieving great goals” in the country through his extraordinary leadership.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said PM Modi’s leadership would continue to drive India forward. “The way infrastructure and human resource development took place during his tenure had never happened before. His leadership will take the country forward,” he said.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal lauded PM Modi as the most popular leader in India’s history, adding, “He has ensured that development reaches every citizen. By implementing GST reforms, Prime Minister Modi has made life easier for the people of the country.”
To mark the milestone, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a 15-day nationwide campaign, Seva Pakhwada, beginning September 17 and concluding on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2. The programme includes blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and exhibitions showcasing the government’s achievements.
Adding to the celebrations, the National Award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy “Bas wahi jeete hain, jo doosro ke liye jeete hain” (Only those are truly successful who live for others), is set for a special re-release across India from September 17.
On the international front, US President Donald Trump called PM Modi to personally convey his greetings. In a post on Truth Social, Trump described the Indian leader as doing a “tremendous job” and thanked him for his support in efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine!” Trump wrote.
