Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership on the occasion of his 75th birthday, stating that the Prime Minister has ensured the benefits of development reach every citizen of the country.
“It is a matter of joy that the most popular leader of the country is the Prime Minister of India. Prime Minister Modi has taken the country to new heights of development,” Goyal told reporters in Mumbai.
Highlighting key reforms, the Union Minister said, “Prime Minister Modi has ensured that development reaches every citizen of the country. By implementing GST reforms, he has made life easier for all.”
To mark the Prime Minister’s milestone birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a 15-day nationwide campaign, Seva Pakhwada, beginning September 17 and concluding on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti. The campaign will feature blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and exhibitions showcasing the achievements of the central government.
Union Minister Bhupender Yadav noted that the initiative aims to combine service with celebration, reflecting the Prime Minister’s philosophy of people-centric governance.
Adding to the commemorations, the National Award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s teaching that “those who live for others truly live,” is set for a special re-release across India from September 17.
Meanwhile, international leaders also extended their wishes. US President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Modi to convey his greetings and expressed gratitude for India’s support in efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised PM Modi as a “tremendous” leader. Modi, in turn, thanked Trump for the wishes and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership while supporting peaceful resolution of the conflict.
